SPLM‑IO/A is governed through both political and military branches. Within this structure, the members of the Political Bureau are entrusted with advancing the objectives and mission of SPLM‑IO in the Collo Kingdom. They play a vital role in the overall management of the movement, contribute to the formulation and implementation of political strategies, and recommend nominees for appointment to high positions. In addition, they safeguard the interests of the community and play a crucial role in building strategic alliances to defend the mutual interests of contributing communities.
